Hiromi is a stunning piano player and multi-genre artist. Saw her live in San Francisco a couple months ago and it was jaw dropping. She was on fire. Do not miss seeing her if you ever get the chance. As far as viewing I highly recommend anything she's done as a trio with Andrew Jackson and Simon Phillips. Insane amount of chops with just those three. Thanks
Thank you for stopping by and for the comment! I have seen some of the clips of the Trio Project--they are simply amazing. I was traveling when she was here or I would have been there with you. Oh well, next time. Or I will go to Japan...
Enjoyed your intro on ramen. I ate a lot of instant ramen in college too, but don't know that I've ever had the real thing. Sounds quite good.
I can appreciate Hiromi's artistry. Not someone I would gravitate towards as I don't listen to jazz much these days, but interesting to hear her innovative improvisations with other artists.
